Introducing AthletIQ:Data Driven Recovery and Performance, Powered by ProClinix

We’re excited to introduce AthletIQ, a specialized program at ProClinix Ardsley designed to restore movement, prevent re-injury, and optimize performance. Whether you’re early in your recovery from surgery, working through a nagging injury, looking to elevate your game, or simply want to move and feel your best, AthletIQ provides a personalized, data-driven path to get you there.
How Long are the Sessions?
Every AthletIQ session is a full 60 minutes of one-on-one care with a Doctor of Physical Therapy who also holds a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) credential. That combination means your care lives on a single, seamless continuum—from rehabilitation to strength development to sport-specific performance training—with one provider who knows your body, your history, and your goals at every stage.
Technology That Takes the Guesswork Out
At the heart of AthletIQ is a commitment to objective, data-driven decision making. We’ve partnered with VALD Performance, a global leader that is redefining how human performance is measured and managed. VALD’s technology is trusted by over 4,000 elite sports organizations, universities, and professional teams worldwide—and AthletIQ brings that same caliber of assessment to you. Detailed biomechanical and performance testing takes time—more time than a typical in-network visit allows for. AthletIQ’s dedicated one-on-one format creates the space to use these advanced tools to quantify exactly where you stand and how you’re progressing:
ForceDecks (Force Plates) measure how much force each limb produces and where you’re applying it, identifying balance deficits and asymmetries in how your body generates and manages force.
Dynamo (Hand Held Strength Dynamometer) provides precise, repeatable strength measurements to detect muscle imbalances and track gains over time—far more detailed than a standard manual muscle test. No more eyeballing strength or guessing at subtle side-to-side differences. You know exactly how much weaker or stronger one side is compared to the other— and exactly how much stronger you become session to session.
OnForm (Slow-Motion Video & 3D Analysis) captures your movements frame by frame, making it easy to see the smallest details of form and mechanics during sport-specific activities, running, or functional movements. Combined with a full-body movement screen and hands-on assessment, these tools allow your provider to identify the root causes of limitations and build a clear, customized action plan with a timeline tailored to your goals.
Why Does This Level of Detail Matters?
Recovering from ACL surgery? Research shows that returning to running and jumping before the quadriceps has regained at least 90% of the strength of the other leg is a leading risk factor for re-tear. A knee can look strong during a squat while still testing significantly weaker under dynamometer measurement. Progressing based on appearance alone can lead to disappointing setbacks. With AthletIQ, every milestone—single-leg exercises, running, plyometrics, return to sport—is guided by objective data, not guesswork.
Dealing with back pain on the golf course? Dealing with back pain on the golf course? A 3D motion analysis of your swing often reveals that limited hip rotation is forcing your lumbar spine to create motion it was never designed to repeatedly absorb. When the hips cannot internally or externally rotate efficiently, the spine compensates with excessive extension and rotation under load—leading to irritation, stiffness, and recurring pain.
But the chain doesn’t stop at the hips. Limited ankle mobility—particularly restricted dorsiflexion—can alter ground force transfer, reduce proper weight shift, and disrupt rotational sequencing. If the ankles cannot load and rotate effectively into the lead side, the pelvis loses efficiency, the hips lose separation, and the spine once again becomes the path of least resistance.
The solution isn’t more generic core work. It’s targeted mobility and control where the breakdown actually occurs—improving hip rotation capacity, restoring ankle mobility, and retraining efficient force transfer from the ground up. Address the true driver of the dysfunction and you don’t just reduce pain—you unlock cleaner rotation, better energy transfer, and more distance off the tee. Address the actual cause and you walk away with less pain and more distance off the tee.
A runner who can’t break the injury cycle? By combining gait analysis with force plate data and dynamometry testing, AthletIQ can identify specific biomechanical asymmetries that even an experienced eye would struggle to detect. Once identified, your provider works with you to correct those mechanics and then retests to confirm the changes have taken hold—so you can get back to the miles you love with confidence.
One Program, Every Stage
What makes AthletIQ truly unique is that it isn’t limited to one phase of your journey. Because your provider is both a Doctor of Physical Therapy and a strength and conditioning specialist, there’s no artificial divide between “rehab” and “performance.”
Your program evolves with you—from early recovery, through return to activity, and into long-term performance development—without the gap that often occurs when patients are discharged from physical therapy and left to figure out the next steps on their own.
This is especially valuable if you’ve completed your in-network PT visits and feel better but not fully ready to return to your sport or training. Insurance may no longer cover additional visits, but the work isn’t done. Rather than navigating that transition alone or starting over with a personal trainer who doesn’t know your injury history, AthletIQ provides the continuity, expertise, and data to keep you progressing with confidence.
AthletIQ is just as powerful from day one of an injury, or even before one occurs. Proactive athletes and active adults use the program to establish a performance baseline, identify subtle asymmetries before they become problems, and build a plan to stay healthy and performing at their best for the long haul.
Who Is AthletIQ For?
Despite the name, AthletIQ is for everyone—not just competitive athletes. Weekend golfers and tennis players. Runners training for their first 5K or their tenth marathon. High school athletes preparing for a return-to-play clearance. Parents who want to keep up with their kids. Active adults looking for a baseline and a long-term plan. Anyone who wants their care to be as precise, personal, and data-driven as possible.
Flexible Care Plans to Fit Your Goals
Your AthletIQ journey begins with a comprehensive evaluation that uses all of the assessment tools described above to build your customized action plan. From there, flexible multi-visit packages—available in 5, 10, and 16-session plans—bring the per-session cost down and give you the consistency to make real, lasting progress. For those who want ongoing support, a subscription-based model makes continued care convenient, accessible, and easy to maintain over time.
Not sure if AthletIQ is right for you? We offer a free 15-minute consultation to discuss your goals, answer your questions, and help you decide if the program is a good fit. No commitment, no pressure—just a conversation about what’s possible.
